Did Japan Just Jump On China's Belt And Road Bandwagon?

In Hamburg over the weekend Japanese President Abe spoke to Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping about cooperating on the Belt and Road. Does this mean Japan is getting behind Xi' signature foreign policy initiative?
